Tamar Organics
We are on a mission to encourage people to grow at least some of their own food and to do it organically. Organic growing helps to protect the environment, improves soil and encourages biodiversity. Using organic seeds means that you are supporting organic farmers and acres and acres of land under organic management.

Tamar Organics started as a small organic market garden in 1994. We have been registered as producers with the soil association since that time. We added our processor license in 2000 when we became one of the first UK companies to offer organic seeds.

Our mail order catalogue began as we searched for organic compost, fertiliser and seed for our own use. The range has got bigger year on year. All our vegetable, herb and flower seeds are organic as are the onions, shallots, garlic, seed potatoes and plant material that we sell.

The composts and fertilisers we offer are all permitted for use in organic systems, (seek permission from your certifying body if you are registered). The pest control is the most environmentally friendly available. The miscellaneous products are all chosen for their green credentials.

We are inspected every year by the Soil Association, and the plant health seed inspectorate. We participate in the GMO audit. We do not support the development of genetically modified seeds and none of our seeds are GMs.

As we enter into our 25th year you will still find in the catalogue well known varieties, some newer additions that have become firm favourites as well as a selection of new varieties for you to try.
